Welcome!
Welcome to Witnessed & Written!

Hey there! My name is Allyson Vienna and I have been running from God's prompting to start a blog for a bit. I'm a busy mom of two amazing kids that love to cut me off and contribute their feelings and opinions, so how in the world would I start a blog and be able to complete any of my thoughts? Only God knows lol. So here we go...
Witnessed & Written. What does that mean? Well I am not only a believer in Jesus, I am His follower. After being saved in 2022, I endeavored to read the Bible. I started with KJV and that was too difficult. The NIV seemed basic to me at the time (ridiculous I know), so I started with the NLT. After finishing my first go through, I closed the book and was blown away. Much to my astonishment, the book was about relationship! It was not a bunch of dos and don'ts like it had been presented or how I assumed. To my delight it was about the God of the universe and the great lengths He goes to maintain a relationship with His creation. I then decided to read it in NKJV. And I am in my 3rd read through in TLV. I discovered that I LOVE THE BIBLE. I love God's word, His precepts, and His principals. I feel like I have discovered the cheat code for life!
Well in a recent read through of the book of Isaiah, I came upon 30:8 which says,
"Now go, write on a tablet for them and inscribe it in a scroll, so that it may be a witness for the last day, forever."
At that moment a light came on in my head and I wrote this note in the margin...

In that very moment, I was convicted, confronted and given confirmation that yes God did say start the blog (ugh). God has left us His word as a witness for those of us that have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior and even for those who have not. Words written create a witness for believers, heck for all who are willing to read. There is evidence of the pilgrimage of those who have gone before and a gateway for us to communicate with the One who knows the end from the beginning. So there you have it.
Moving forward you can expect that when God puts something on my heart, I will not only write it down for myself in private but also hash it out and share it with you. I make no claims to having it all together, in fact I am mostly a hot mess who ran into God's grace and mercy and now I can't help but talk about how good He has been to me and how alive His word is in my life today.
I hope your curiosity is peeked. I hope that you find something here that sparks your faith, inspires you to read your bible or just opens you up to the Holy Spirit. Stay tuned for a lot of vulnerability, authenticity and personal revelation as I get dusty following my Rabbi.
